Pastor James Gross

James Gross has been serving as Senior Pastor since 2001.

He is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a B.A. in Sociology. He and his wife, Nancy, then moved to Dallas, Texas where he attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated with a Th.M. Four of the six years in Dallas, he served as a Chaplain at Baylor University Medical Center. Since Baylor is owned by the Southern Baptist Convention, the chaplains were missionaries serving under the SBC Home Mission Board. Following his hospital ministry, Pastor and his wife moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa where, for 10 years, he assumed the pastorate of Calvary Bible Church. The next fifteen years were spent in Washington, Illinois where he served as Senior Pastor of Grace Bible Church.

Pastor and Nancy now reside in Northumberland, PA. Nancy is the Administrator of Sunbury Christian Academy, which is a ministry of SBC. They have two grown daughters and two grandsons.
